The data you provide will not be passed on to third parties. Your consent is worded as follows:

YES, I consent to receiving a newsletter tailored to my personal interests. Personalization is carried out by evaluating my user behavior using web beacons (tracking pixels) and your e-mail address, which can be linked to an individual identifier. We record when you read our newsletter, which links you click on and use this to infer your potential personal interests. This data is linked to actions you take on our website. We do not combine this information with other information and only store it in Germany. You can revoke this consent at any time, after which the user data collected from you will be deleted.

  1. We would like to point out that your user behavior will be evaluated when the newsletter is sent. For this purpose, the e-mails sent contain so-called web beacons (“tracking pixels”). These are one-pixel image files that are linked to our website. This enables us to evaluate your user behavior, which is done by collecting the data mentioned in point IV. of this data protection declaration and web beacons assigned to your e-mail address, which are linked to your individual identifier. From the data obtained in this way, we create a user profile with which we can provide you with the newsletter with content tailored to your interests. In this context, we record the time at which you read the newsletter, which links you click on and draw conclusions about your personal interests from this. We also link this data to actions that you have taken on our website. Information that we collect in this way is stored by REMA on a server in Germany. You can object to this tracking at any time via the link contained in every e-mail or via the contact options mentioned in paragraph 3.

16. web tracking; Use of Google Analytics

  1. This website uses the web analysis service Google Analytics from Google Inc. Google Analytics uses certain text files, so-called "cookies", which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. Information about your use generated by cookies is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is active on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google in EU member states or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The complete IP address will only be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google uses this information on behalf of REMA to evaluate your use of the website, to create reports on your activity on the website and to provide REMA with other services related to the use of the website and the Internet.
  2. The IP address received from your browser by Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.
  3. By setting your browser configuration accordingly, you can prevent the storage of cookies; however, you may then not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
  4. You can also object to the recording of your website usage and the data generated via cookies (incl. IP address) and their processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
  5. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This extension shortens IP addresses before further processing, which means that they cannot be linked directly to individuals.
  6. Google Analytics is used within the legal framework that has been agreed for the use of the software by the German data protection authorities in cooperation with Google. Third party contact details: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001. 17. Social media plugins

  1. We currently use the following social media plug-ins:
  2. In this context, we use the so-called 2-click solution. When you visit our site, no personal data is passed on via these plug-ins. The plug-ins are marked with the initials of the respective provider and only if you click on one of these plug-ins will data that can be linked to your person be transmitted. After clicking on the plug-in, the data is automatically forwarded to the relevant provider and stored there (for US providers on servers in the USA). We have no influence on the collected data and processing operations. In addition, we are not aware of the scope, purpose of data collection and storage periods. The plug-in providers collect data primarily via cookies. Before you click on the corresponding plug-in, you should therefore remove all cookies via the security settings of your browser.
  3. After a plug-in has been activated, its provider will be informed that you have visited the relevant subpage on our website. In addition, the data specified in Section IV. of this data protection declaration will be transmitted. According to the company, Facebook only transmits the anonymized IP address in Germany. The transfer is not dependent on whether you have an account with the relevant plug-in provider or are logged in there. If this is the case, the transmitted data will be linked directly to your account. This information is also saved and assigned to your user account when you click on the plug-in button (e.g. when linking to the page). Your contacts will be made aware of this publicly. To prevent your profile from being assigned to you by the relevant plug-in provider, you must log out there before activating the button.
  4. This data is stored by the plug-in provider as usage profiles and used for marketing purposes, market research and/or website design. This evaluation is carried out in particular (also for users who are not logged in) for the purpose of personalized marketing and to inform other users of the relevant page about your visit to our website. You can object to the creation of such user profiles with the respective plug-in provider.
  5. For what purpose and to what extent your data is collected and processed by the plug-in provider can be found in the data protection declarations of the individual providers, which you can find below. Further information on your rights and the configuration options for protecting your data can be found there.

18. Rights of the user and other affected persons

If you have a user account, you can view and change all of the information relating to you in the "User Account" section of the REMA website. Since the information on name, gender or date of birth is required to identify the user, changes to this data must be approved by REMA. Information on the order history and, in particular, event-specific consents can also be viewed and edited via the user account.
You have the right to information about your data and can request information about and the correction of your data. You also have the right to object to the processing of personal data and/or to request REMA to delete and/or restrict the use of your personal data. If the processing of personal data is based on a previous consent, you can revoke it at any time.
In special cases, data subjects in EU or EEA countries have the right to receive the data generated when using online services in a structured, common and machine-readable format with which further processing and transmission is possible .
If you have any questions about these rights, you can get in touch with the contact person mentioned in Section I.2.

19. Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations that took place up until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

20. Change to the privacy policy

This data protection declaration can be adjusted or changed by REMA at any time without prior notice or notification. The version published on the website rema-tiptop.ch is current and valid.

If the data protection declaration is part of an agreement with users or other persons, they will be informed of the change by e-mail or other suitable means of REMA in the event of an update. If no objection is made within 30 days, the new privacy policy will be considered agreed. In the event of an objection, REMA has the right to terminate the agreement extraordinarily and without notice in whole or in part, or to restrict or adjust the services to the data subject in order to respond appropriately to the refusal of consent.
